As in the case of Malawi we opted for democracy as oppose to one party regime. Nothing forced us to that than the desire to benefit the values of democracy. If today I embrace Islam, what are the benefits and beauties I will enjoy?
Today, our focus aims to outline some of the beauties, benefits and unique aspects of Islam. At the core of Islam is the focus of an individual’s personal relationship with God Almighty. It encourages a person to have sustained awareness of God Almighty, which is key to lasting happiness.
Islam teaches that God Almighty is the source of peace. By focusing on this important relationship and following God’s guidance, a person will be able to acquire inner peace. Seeking happiness through other means will never fill the void we have. God Almighty says, “Truly, in remembering God do hearts find rest. ” (13:28)
Islam gives a person a clear perspective on the events that happen in their life, both good and bad, as they are, in fact tests from God Almighty. It encourages a person to understand events in the context of the overall purpose of life, which is to acknowledge God Almighty.
One outstanding uniqueness of Islam is that Islam is not named after its founder or the community of its birth. Islam is an attribute title that signifies obedience to God Almighty.
Finally, for the sake of space, Islam is a practical religion with practical acts of worship that are designed to fulfill the spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs of people.
